Privacy Policy

shoebox360 takes the issue of privacy extremely seriously and the whole experience our customers receive was designed with privacy at the forefront. We will not offer the service to third party advertisers so you can experience a clean, clutter-free service. We will also not send unsolicited emails to our customers with sales or marketing offers.

The information we collect about you, including email addresses and other personal information will never be disclosed to third parties or used to drive marketing activities to persuade you to spend more with our Service. The only time we would ever disclose information to a third party is when the information is required to provide a service to you, when we are legally obliged to do so, or the Service has been used for what we believe may be illegal purposes that should be reported to the authorities for further investigation with potential legal action being taken against the perpetrators.

What personal information do we collect?

As a subscriber we collect the following personal information about you:

Your First and Second name

Your email address

A unique secure password used to access the Service in conjunction with your email address

The country in which you live

The currency you wish to be billed in

Your relationship to the shoebox Owner if you are not the shoebox owner yourself

Delivery address information

Acceptance of the shoebox360 Terms and Conditions including the date and time the Agreement was accepted by you and the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer on service you were used when you signed the Agreement (this is recorded only for the purposes of auditing and understanding the demographic population of our customers).

Information related to your purchasing history for auditing and taxation management purposes.

History or products ordered to enable us to manage any queries or problems with your orders

The shoeboxes you have added to your profile and the date the subscription is scheduled to expire.

If you are a shoebox Owner in addition to the information above we will offer you the opportunity to provide information that is specific to your event or events that will enhance the experience for both you and your guests on the Service. This may include information about the location, timing and activities that will happen during the event. As an event owner, we may also offer you the opportunity to create lists of people who you would like to invite to become guests of your event.

None of the information you supply us will be disclosed to any third party or used for marketing purposes by us.

What information do we share?

In order to fulfil orders for print products through our global printing partner FujiFilm, we need to send information about what products have been ordered by you, the digital images associated with the orders and your name and shipping address for delivery. No other personal information is shared. 

How we process payments

All of our payments are processed by our Payment Services Provider Streamline, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland. We do not store any information used for credit or debit card payments processing and our records only reflect when a payment request was made, if it was successful or not and the value of the transaction required for auditing and taxation purposes.

Who sees your photographs and videos after they are uploaded to the Service?

Only people who register for your event with a unique, secure shoebox key will be able to access and upload content for your shoebox(es). If you are the shoebox owner, you have full control of what content is viewable by other shoebox360 subscribers in the public galleries. If as the event owner you choose to delete a photograph from the event, this will not be kept. The original uploader of the photograph or video will be able to view and use the photograph or video as it is their original content but they cannot over-ride your preclusion of the photograph or video from the public areas.

As an uploader of a photograph or video, you can choose to delete a photograph or video from the Service and in this case, the photograph or video will be purged from the system and no-one including the shoebox owner will have access to the deleted photograph or video.   

Do we use cookies?

Cookies are the way that web sites save information about themselves and enable a richer experience for your access to the service using information you have provided to us on your computer. Cookies do not have the ability to access your computer or affect the operation of your computer or the security and privacy of your system. Cookies allow us to remember information about you, your personal preferences and previous session information including products you may have added to a shopping basket that you have not yet ordered. You have full control over the use of browser cookies thorough the control panel of your chosen browser(s) and should you wish to disable cookies then please follow the instructions from the manufacturer of your browser software.

Do we use web beacons or beaconing?

Web beacons are used to track the movements you make on a screen with your mouse or other pointing device in order to understand the pattern of usage on a screen. We currently do not use web beacons on any part of our Service and if our policy changes in order to enhance our understanding of how we can improve the site then we will notify you via this Privacy Statement.

Your personal information

All of your information is protected by a secure, encrypted password which is enforced by the system. We would recommend that you do not use the same password that you use for your email account associated with your access to the service and that you do not disclose your password to any third party, that you do not provide your password in human readable form across an electronic system such as email or instant messenger and that you change your password every sixty days or sooner.

shoebox360 will never ask you for your password in any form and anyone asking for this information should be reported to us with as much information you have about the circumstances surrounding this.

All of your personal information, photographs and videos are stored on secure servers with multiple levels of physical and data security using industry standard practices to safeguard its confidentiality. Access to your information inside shoebox360 is restricted to those employee's and contractors who have a specific and justifiable business need to access your information and all access is controlled and logged by our own security and auditing systems.

Updating your personal information

All of your personal information, with the exception of the original email address used to resister for the service can be easily updated on the my account section of the Service.

Notification of Change

Any amendments or changes to our privacy policy will be made available online on the Privacy section on the Service and is the authoritative and current version of our policies and supersedes any cached or saved versions of the policy or copies that have been printed.
